Samango monkey
This fairly large forest species has a dark-brown face with white on the lips and throat, long hair on the cheeks and forehead, grey-brown sides, dark-brown to black legs and a long, predominantly black tail. They live in troops of up to 30 monkeys and feed on the fruits, flowers, leaves, seeds and gum of a wide variety of plants. They sometimes debark young trees in plantations and consequently are often killed. This species is currently listed as rare.
